Jansen

Hi! Just wanted to share about this young man by the name of Jansen who has gone to be with the Lord in February 2009, before the chinese new year. He was only 19 years old and the wonderful thing is that he left a legacy behind in his short life here on earth.
I knew him since he was a child and he came to our children ministry meetings, students meetings and church worship service. He accepted Jesus as his personal saviour then. His death was sudden as he died in a road accident. Although I did not keep in contact with him for quite some time, yet he remained faithful to God. His funeral service was a christian funeral service and both his parents have accepted Christ and are now attending a church in Subang Jaya. Praise God for this young man's testimony and legacy.

Exercise your authority....

Below is a testimony from Winnie, our student from KT LRC.
She sent it to me through sms, the day they left the Youth camp to go home to KT on June 10, 2009. These are her exact words....

"Pastor Faith, when we were in the bus, the first thing we did was prayed. After praying the bus wanted to start the engine but tried and tried and can't manage to start. The bus driver said there is something wrong with the battery and somemore no oil....so i call 5 of us to pray again..... pray until the bus moves, if not dun stop the prayer... I really feel it is the devil's work..... So i rebuked the devil out of the bus in the name of jesus.....And called jesus to protect the bus and surround this bus with lots and lots of angels.... Finally the bus is moving now.... I m so happy with that....^^

Isn't it amazing, God's authority can flow as long as we know who we are in him.

Hi! everyone, yes.... I know its been sometime since I have written in my blog. There is so much things to thank God for since the last posting last year. I plan to be regularly undating my blog and expecially to post testimonies of the things that God has done in me and thru me and also in the lives of those whom I know.

Pressing towards the Mark ....

Hello everyone. As you are all aware, we are in the the month of August now and we have five months to go before the year 2008 comes to an end.
As I was reflecting on this and making plans, I am reminded of of what Apostle Paul said in the book of Philippians, "forgetting those things that are behind and reaching forward unto those things that are before, I press towards the mark of the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
So I am not giving up just yet, there are a few things that I want to do before the year ends and one of them is completing my bachelor in ministry papers. As a servant of God, it is paramount that I be well equipped so that I can carry out my master's work well on earth and thus bring glory to Him. Therefore eventhough I am a bit 'rusty' up there (in my brains), I am determined to move into first gear and continue on my papers.
So guys, if you have, just like me, set out this year full of determination to accomplish your goals but somehow lost the zeal along the way, do not give up just yet. There are still five months to go, forget the past and lets together, individually and as a church press towards the mark, so that our dear Lord and Master , Jesus Christ will be glorified through us. Amen!

Another milestone

I have just completed producing a second video clip. This is a 'gotong-royong' project done for the folks at SS 13 Subang Jaya. It was a joint effort between Latter Rain Church, MBSJ, and YB Hannah Yeoh's constituency.
What can I say - just that it was a wonderful experience - right from the start to the end.
Rachel if you are reading this, thanks alot, could not have done it without your expertise. I have learned so much from this experience, but one thing stands out, the Lord was teaching me to work as a team together with the rest of the crew.
I was reading this book by Doug Carter, "Big Picture People" and he quoted Helen Pearson ....
"The Lord can do great things through those who don't care who gets the credits".
I am learning to see things the way God sees. Everything we do, its not about us, its not about promoting ourselves but about God and his kingdom. By the way you can catch the video clip on youtube and I hope you enjoy watching it just as much as I enjoyed producing it.

Turn your passion into a business that you love....

Hi ! just wanted to share about my sister and her passion and how it turned into a business that she loved. As you can see from the photos, my dear sis loves dogs and they love her in return. The dog pictured here - its name is Baby and she has a story to share. Baby recently gave birth to 10 pups. One died and one got stuck in the womb. Baby had to undergo an operation. Everyone thought the pup would be dead but amazingly, and of course with lots of prayers, the pup was brought out alive. My sister says its a miracle. She sells her pups online. By the way she resides in Sydney, Australia and as at today all the pups are sold, the price per pup ranging from A$500 to A$900. She makes sure her pups go to good homes and only to owners that truly love animals, otherwise she will not let them go, or sell them. I think thats really wonderful because God created animals too. I encouraged my sis to carry on this as she has the one key ingredient that will cause her to succeed and that is passion for the work that she's doing.

Learning and never stop learning.....

Hi!, we are into a new week ahead of us. The last week of July and yes..... in case some of you may have forgotten, its my birthday this week. Its falls on July 31 (Thursday) and you know what I have decided to give myself a 'treat' and its a 2 day course on upgrading myself to be an effective 'trainer'. Its called TFTE - Tools for Trainer effectiveness. I had doubts about joining this course initially but the deciding factor came when I saw the dates - that it fell on my birthday. So what better present to give myself than to upgrade - learn and never stop learning. I am reminding myself that I can and must never be too old to learn. :)
